My basic workflow is take a picture of myself, sometimes change my outfit, put me in a fantasy gym setting, and turn me into a video. There is a lot of opportunity in that workflow for the AI to take notice of subtle signals and change my body. I’ve narrowed down some specifics that are kind of interesting.
I was not satisfied with the cost and features of Wix, so I decided to see if I could make my own blog. Answer: Yes! This is it. I used AI code assistants to build it, but here’s the architecture.
I recently decided to take this step myself. After trying popular AI products like Sora and other OpenAI tools, I ran into roadblocks. These tools often have restrictions related to deepfakes and face manipulation, which limited what I could do. That pushed me to build a custom setup that lets me take a photo of myself, change my outfit, adjust the background, and animate the image using AI.
ChatGPT really wants my body to be different! The image on the left is what I actually look like and the image on the right shows what happened when I asked chatGPT to show me in a new outfit. I was curious if I could cut out the inshot step of pasting myself into the photo. Answer: NO.

This seems pretty easy with a greenscreen and a lot of video editing stuff, but I wanted to just be able to snap a pic at the gym or while working out and then turn it into a fun video. I also decided this would be a fun opportunity to explore AI image and video generation.
